S100SMC Software Software for the S100SMC communicates with the controller through your computer's serial port. From this one program you can control the speed, direction, and number of steps of up to three stepper motors. The interface is easy to understand and there is no programming knowledge required. You can download the software by clicking on the links below. Below the links are instructions for the installation of the software. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@steppercontrol.com. Download This software is for the new S100SMC. All orders shipped after February of 2003 will receive this new board. This software works for all versions of Windows. Included in the software are options for enabling and disabling limit switches/inputs, turning on and off outputs, speed and direction of rotation, number of steps, acceleration/deceleration, half/full stepping, and whether or not to apply holding torque after rotation is completed. For a full list of features and instructions, click here.
There are two versions of the old S100SMC software available for download. The first includes features for ramping acceleration and deceleration, half-stepping, position tracking, actual rpm's, actual steps/sec, and other information. The second version has all of these same features and shows the bytes that are transmitted from the computer to the S100SMC and from the S100SMC back to the computer. This information can be very useful in understanding the communications protocol for the S100SMC (more info on the protocol is available here.
