This new 3-Axis controller connects to your computer throught serial port. The included Windows software (free for download here) allows you to rotate each of the three motors at independent speeds for a specified number of steps or continuously. The software also allows you to control the newly added limit inputs and outputs. The new S100SMC can also handle unipolar stepper motors up to 40V and 5A per channel--for all the power you need! Add to that the security of independent power supplies for the controller and the motors, current decay diodes, and true optoisolation for protection of your computer, and you get a complete stepper control solution for only $100! S100SMC Features 3-Axis Control Independent speed, direction, and number of steps for each axis Speeds in excess of 800 steps per second (depends on motor and power supply voltage) Execute discrete numbers of steps or continuous rotation New! Limit inputs for each axis New! Outputs Capable of Sinking up to 200mA Each for Relays, etc. Simple, robust communications protocol for control through custom software Software for Win95, Win98, Win2000, and WinXP System Components Your computer will need an available serial port and you will also need a Male-Female DB9 serial port cable (available for $5 on our order form) to connect the board to your PC. The S100SMC comes with a power supply for powering the board itself, and a second power supply is required to power the motors. This power supply's voltage and current outputs will depend on the power requirements of the motors. The S100SMC can control any of the motors found on our motors page.
